This series of nine one-of-a-kind stylized Easter Island Moai portraits were hand-drawn and hand-painted in subdued, soft hues. The watercolors used for this collection have natural pigments that create a hint of dreamy, starlit shimmer. The ancestors in these paintings remind us to walk softly and be mindful of the soft, slow, beautiful moments that exist in the midst of the mundane. Place them in your favorite spot for quiet contemplation, or maybe in a spot where you could use a reminder to take a break and be kind to yourself.

Each painting is an assemblage; the cameo faces and backgrounds were painted individually, then I affixed faces to backgrounds to create depth and visual interest. Each is signed, and no two are alike. Measuring 4.5" x 2.5", they are the perfect size for sprucing up a narrow space or displaying in groups of two or three.
